It will store the coordinates and help you find your car easily.
The new parking feature will save your current location and mark a P icon on the map. Well, this won’t be enough in case of the multi-story parking. you can always adjust the Parking dot location, type notes, or add photos to the parking spot.
How To Mark Car Parking Location In Google Maps
There are some prerequisites you need to make sure before using this parking feature. First, you need to have the latest version of the Google Maps app. Your mobile phone should run on Android Marshmallow or above, or Apple iOS 10 or above. You need to make sure that you have enabled the location services. The Google Assistant service should have been provided with all the necessary approvals.
Below are the steps on how to save a car parking spot in Google Maps.
- First, you need to park your car in the Parking lot.
- Then, you need to open Google Maps.
- Tap on the Blue Pin, which represents your current parking location.
- After tapping, you will get three options on the screen.
- Choose the ‘Save Your Parking’ option.
- Also, you can add more details such as photos, parking numbers, etc.
That’s all! Your vehicle’s parking coordinates will be marked on Google Maps.
How to find your parked vehicle’s location
Whenever you want to find your parking location or vehicle on Google Maps, open the Google Maps app and then tap on the option ‘Saved Parking’. Tap on the direction and head towards it by hitting Start to turn on the navigation.
You can also use Google Assistant for the same. Once you have parked your car, you can ask Google Assistant to mark your parking location by saying “Remember where I have parked”. Accordingly, when you want to locate your car, you can ask Google Assistant “Where is my car”.
